Grand Ave. Cafe

The other day I was walking downtown with a friend when we passed Grand Ave. Café. It had been quite some time since my last visit and decided on the spot that I needed to make my way over there again. So, this afternoon, my friend and I thought it would be a good idea to swing by for some lunch.

It was pretty crowded for Sunday brunch time, but never once were we left waiting for service. It was very friendly and prompt, even though we weren’t so quick with making up our minds. The menus had so many good choices that it took me a while to finally settle on my pesto pizza sandwich (one of the vegetarian options) and my friend opted for the bagel sandwich. Both were absolutely delicious, like I was expecting.

It was the first time my friend had been and she could not get over how cute the place is. A friend had introduced me to the café over a year ago knowing my love of books, and the décor and quirky food names are just perfect. Also, there’s a bunch of local art up on the walls for sale, which I always think is really cool in local stores like Grand Ave.
