Out off of 312 is the Gemini Drive In, and for those who have never been there or even to a drive in have just found something to do in Eau Claire this summer. Seriously, one of the coolest things I’ve ever done is go to a drive in with a bunch of friends and/or family.
For starters, tickets are $8 for adults and $4 for kids. This will give you two movies during the summer months and three towards the end of the summer when dusk starts a little earlier. You can get in starting at 7 which gives you plenty of opportunity to settle in either in or out of your car. My friends and I personally like these low-lying wooden benches near the front. It’s right by some of the ground speakers, so you don’t even need to leave your car running.
There’s also a really nice concession stand with tons of food. There’s pizza, nachos, hot dogs, soda, popcorn, candy and more. Almost anything you could ever need to enjoy a movie right there. It does get a little cold at night, so make sure you bring plenty of blankets!
