There is a very special unexpected “gem” of the Valley that offers a great way to spend time on a hot summer day. It is beautiful and diverse Lake Altoona. Along with being home to the Eau Claire Ski Sprites water ski shows on Wednesdays and Sundays throughout the summer, it is also a great place to put in a boat ($3/day or $25/season) and tool around.
